PranaVinyasa Earth Practice with AnneMarie

Prana Vinyasa is moving meditation and energy cultivation. Start with an opening meditation, do namaskar (sun/mood salutation) variations, move through a flowing sequence and close with a final meditation.

The entire sequence is organized around a peak pose or a family of poses. Prana Vinyasa yoga allows the practitioner freedom to meet the needs of their own body. Each class will have an energy signature to encourage the student to deeply feel some aspect of Prana.

This is a four-part series. Each practice will incorporate a different element and chakra.

November - Earth Element and Muladhara (root) Chakra.

Monday November 4th


The combined focus on earth element and root chakra will prompt a feeling of grounding and support on and off the mat. The sequence will build strength in the legs and openness in the hips. The peak pose is Astavakrasana and the emphasis is getting close to the earth with the body, connecting to the root chakra. Focusing on Muladhara Chakra promotes stability, sureness of self and confidence in decision-making. The intention of this earth practice is to feel comfortable with change and promote self-confidence.

AnneMarie is an experienced and compassionate yoga teacher. Her teachings are accessible to all levels and she will ensure that both beginners and seasoned yogis feel welcomed and challenged.
