Pilates 101: Pilates for Absolute Beginners


Pilates is a method of training strength in the body that focuses on breathing and precision of movement. Focus will be particularly on muscles that support the core and proper posture. The basic level exercises will be introduced progressively with time for questions and special attention to alignment. Each student will work within their own limits since the exercises are adaptable to all strength and experience levels. We will discuss basic anatomy and proper technique as we learn and do the exercises on which more difficult variations can be built.
