Prenatal Yoga is open to women at all stages of pregnancy and all levels of experience. In Prenatal Yoga, women will gently stretch and strengthen their bodies to help make room for baby during pregnancy and prepare mind and body for conscious childbirth. Classes provide an opportunity for women to connect with their changing bodies and growing babies, honouring the transformative process of pregnancy and building awareness and confidence for giving birth. The 75-minute classes involve gentle flow yoga with modifications for all stages of pregnancy, focusing on areas of the body especially affected by pregnancy. Expectant moms will be guided through breath work and meditation, and toning of muscle groups important in childbirth and recovery. Labour-coping techniques, including vocal toning, yoga postures and breathing, will also be covered.
